Afternoon: After lunch board the hotel transport for a transfer to the Ark Lodge. Nestled in a dense forest on the slopes of Aberdare’s highest peak, this unique lodge overlooks a wildlife-rich waterhole. Enjoy unmatched game viewing from the comfort of the lodge’s elevated decks or nearby hide.

We’ll board our safari vehicle and head west past the Aberdare Range of Mountains down the western escarpment to Lake Nakuru National Park gates. With game-viewing en route, proceed to your overnight lodge for check-in and lunch

Afternoon: After lunch, where you'll embark on a game drive through the diverse landscapes of Lake Nakuru National Park. Explore the highland plains, savanna, woodlands, and forests while keeping an eye out for the white rhino grazing on the open plains and the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, which can only be found here in Kenya.
The Park is home to 56 species of mammals, including bold baboons and the elusive leopard. While lions are rarer and harder to spot, you’ll also see flocks of flamingos along the lake’s shores, as well as pelicans, cormorants, and storks.

Early Morning: If interested, you can join our optional Masai Mara Hot Air Balloon Ride tour. This experience includes a pre-dawn game drive to the balloon launch site, a one-hour flight high above the Masai Mara, and a celebratory breakfast with sparkling wine.
Breakfast: If not taking the optional tour, a packed breakfast will be provided on the way to this morning’s game-viewing drive.
Enjoy a full day of adventure experiencing the Wildebeest Migration.
Morning: We’ll then board our safari vehicles for a full-day game-viewing adventure. A morning safari allows you to catch the animals at the start of their day, often a prime time for sightings. The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. We may encounter large herds of elephants grazing beneath the scattered trees across the grasslands, or spot formidable predators like lions and leopards. We’ll also keep an eye out for crocodiles sunning themselves along the riverbanks, or witness the wildebeest and zebra migrating across the plains.
Lunch: A delicious picnic lunch will be served in the heart of the bush.
Afternoon: After lunch, we’ll set out for another game-viewing drive. The Masai Mara is home to all of the "Big Five," with notable populations of lions, leopards, and cheetahs throughout the year. During the annual migration, the plains come alive with tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson's gazelles. We go back to the lodge early evening to allow you some time to rest and enjoy lodge facilities.
