Morning: After breakfast, meet your driver-guide at the hotel reception. We’ll board our safari vehicle and head west past Nairobi and down the escarpment to Lake Naivasha a birder's paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species.
Lunch: Arrive for lunch at Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge.
Afternoon: Join your boat-guides for a 90-minute boat ride experience on a small motorized boat with life vests on Lake Naivasha, the highest of the Rift Valley lakes at 1,910 meters (6,200 feet), is also among the most beautiful. Its fresh waters are surrounded by dense papyrus clumps, once used in ancient Egypt to make paper. Kingfishers perch on the papyrus, while herons hide within it as they hunt for food.

Early Morning: If interested, you can join our optional Masai Mara Hot Air Balloon Ride tour. This experience includes a pre-dawn game drive to the balloon launch site, a one-hour flight high above the Masai Mara, and a celebratory breakfast with sparkling wine.
Breakfast: If not taking the optional tour, a packed breakfast will be provided on the way to this morning’s game-viewing drive.
Enjoy a full day of adventure experiencing the Wildebeest Migration.
Morning: We’ll then board our safari vehicles for a full-day game-viewing adventure. A morning safari allows you to catch the animals at the start of their day, often a prime time for sightings. The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most iconic natural wonders. We may encounter large herds of elephants grazing beneath the scattered trees across the grasslands, or spot formidable predators like lions and leopards. We’ll also keep an eye out for crocodiles sunning themselves along the riverbanks, or witness the wildebeest and zebra migrating across the plains.
Lunch: A delicious picnic lunch will be served in the heart of the bush.
Afternoon: After lunch, we’ll set out for another game-viewing drive. The Masai Mara is home to all of the "Big Five," with notable populations of lions, leopards, and cheetahs throughout the year. During the annual migration, the plains come alive with tens of thousands of wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson's gazelles. We go back to the lodge early evening to allow you some time to rest and enjoy lodge facilities.
