For a full-day adventure, rise early and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Famous for its flamingos and pelicans, Nakuru is also a rhino sanctuary and one of the best places in Kenya to see both black and white rhinos. Leopard sightings are common, and the park also hosts buffalo, Rothschild giraffes, and tree-climbing lions. A picnic breakfast is enjoyed under the acacia trees, and lunch may be taken in the park or back at Loldia. On your return, you may stop at Lake Elmenteita, a soda lake and critical breeding site for endangered bird species.
