APTA – | Association For The Promotion Of Tourism To Africa
As the travel industry moves steadily towards specialization in destination, lifestyle, niche markets and other segments, Africa is emerging as a strong favorite with agents looking for a lucrative and rewarding destination to focus on or add to their offering. The continent answers particularly well to the growing demands for experiential travel, voluntourism, sustainable tourism, family/multi-generational travel, exotic honeymoons and of course, the bucket-list of places people want to see before they die.
ASTA (American Society of Travel Advisors) is the world’s largest association of travel professionals. Our members include travel advisors and the companies whose products they sell such as tours, cruises, hotels, car rentals, etc. We are the leading advocate for travel advisors, the travel industry and the traveling public.
ASTA offers many benefits to its members and the traveling public. The majority of ASTA’s members are travel agencies. However, travel suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, car rental firms, cruise lines, and tour operators join ASTA. We also have membership categories for students, travel schools, retail travel sellers, and others. ASTA is the organization for anyone related to the travel industry!

Many people can only dream about living in a foreign country; and with the progressive work environments making work/life balance possible, it only makes sense to help people on their journey living abroad and expat the network of those already enriched in beautiful cultures on foreign land.
We hope this community for expats, nomads and travelers connects those who are crossing paths and enriches those who are eager to meet others who share a common experience. As we evolve, we hope you’ll share your experience and provide great feedback so that we can grow to become the community that helps you on your journey to Africa.
