Renowned as a haven for those wishing to unwind, Kinondo Kwetu has an excellent reputation for wellness, with a Finnish sauna, spa treatments, yoga platform and a special meditation site at a nearby cliff.
The hotel caters for 38 guests in 16 rooms, seven suites in the central Mama Taa Villa and three cottages with en-suite double rooms, as well as a Beach House, which has two separate en-suite double rooms. The thatched property is decorated with authentic African artefacts using the bright coloured Swahili palette. Kinondo Kwetu is popular with families and friends as well as romantic couples and can be specially configured for larger groups. Within the hotel there are two pools, one large enough to enable PADI training, as well a hard tennis court, exercise area and yoga platform. Activities include kite surfing, deep-sea fishing and riding on the hotel’s three horses, as well as traditional sailing on a dhow and outriggers. Kinondo Kwetu is a fabled chill-out destination that also offers lots to do – and you’ll never forget you’re in Africa
