Day 1 – Nairobi | Voi | Taita Hills

An Inclusive Holidays Africa representative will greet and transport you to the Nairobi/Mombasa Terminus, where you’ll board a train departing at 0800hrs to Voi. Enjoy an air-conditioned safari experience through Tsavo Parks, observing elephants and other wildlife on the vast plains. The elevated train route ensures safety and provides an enhanced view of the savannah. Arriving in Voi around 1200hrs, you’ll be transferred to your overnight lodge, a journey of less than an hour.

Day 2 – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

Experience morning and afternoon game drives in a sanctuary bridging Southern Tsavo West National Park, vital for wildlife dispersal between Tsavo East and West. This area is a prized ecological zone and tourism hotspot. Its mountainous terrain provides stunning vistas of Kilimanjaro, Pare, and Uluguru mountains, along with the Taita Hills. A seasonal river divides the sanctuary, creating picturesque valleys and plains.

Day 3 – Taita Hills | Voi | Nairobi

Following breakfast, proceed to check out and transfer to Voi Terminus for your Madaraka Express train journey to Nairobi, departing around 1000hrs. Traverse the historic Tsavo East and West National Parks, offering chances to spot iconic wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, and majestic big cats like lions and cheetahs! Anticipate arrival around 1430hrs, where you’ll be greeted and transported to the airport for your onward flight.

• Bookings are on a request basis and subject to train ticket availability.
• For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 years are not permitted at Salt Lick Safari Lodge
• Extra game drive US$ 45 per person (Exclusive game drives can be arranged at an added cost)
• Night Game Drives US$ 55 per person

MADARAKA EXPRESS PASSENGER SERVICE – USEFUL INFORMATION

Passengers should arrive one (1) hour before the Departure time indicated on the ticket
Passengers must have the original identification documents during travel
Cancellation and Rescheduling requests must be done forty-eight hours before the departure time indicated on the ticket irrespective of when the ticket was booked.
Cancellations and rescheduling are done over the counter at the nearest Madaraka Express Passenger Service station
During cancellations/rescheduling, one must produce the original identification document plus a copy of the same
Tickets are not transferable
Transactions directly from your bank account will not be successful. Only pay from your M-pesa account
Alcoholic drinks are not allowed into the station and onboard the trains
Sprays with an inflammable sign, sharp objects, and pets are strictly prohibited
