Get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey as you transfer back to Arusha for your scheduled flight to the Serengeti. You will be greeted by our team and transferred to the Nomad Serengeti Safari Camp, where you will spend the next three nights. This little camp casts off from Lamai Serengeti each year and begins its own odyssey, covering hundreds of miles and moving every couple of months along a route that the herds have travelled for hundreds of years. With just six open-plan walk-in Meru tents, each with an en-suite bathroom at the rear, the Serengeti Safari Camp provides an intimate and authentic safari experience. One of these tents is a family tent with two bedrooms and an adjoining sitting area, perfect for families or groups of friends. With us, you can be confident that you will have an incredible stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

The Golden Monkey is a stunning creature with a golden body, cheeks, and tail, complemented by black limbs, crown, and tail-end. Although not much is known about their behavior, we do know that they live in social groups of up to 30 individuals and mainly feed on leaves, fruit, and insects. They are restricted to the highland forest of the Virungas, particularly near bamboo, and share their habitat with their larger cousin, the Mountain Gorilla. Despite their small range, both species face similar threats such as snares and human encroachment, and are classified as critically endangered on the IUCN Red List.
