Day 01: Arrival Addis Ababa
Upon your arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be warmly greeted by your guide and escorted to the Golden Tulip Hotel, an exquisite 5-star destination. Day 2: Lake Langano
This morning, we'll leave Addis Ababa and journey south to the picturesque Rift Valley Lake of Langano. Along the way, we'll explore the historic rock-hewn church of Adadi Mariam, attributed to King Lalibela, and visit the prehistoric archaeological site of Melka Kunture and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Tiya's stele field. Tonight, we'll relax and unwind at Sabana Beach Resort, nestled along the shores of Lake Langano, offering a serene overnight retreat.

Day 3: Arba Minch
Today's journey takes us southward to Arba Minch, where we'll encounter the unique cultures of the Alaba people, renowned for their intricately painted houses, and the Walyita community, celebrated for their expertise in cultivating Enset, also known as False Banana. Later, we'll continue to Chencha to explore the Dorze village, a proud segment of the diverse Omotic language group in southern Ethiopia. Formerly warriors, the Dorze have embraced farming and weaving as their livelihoods. Tonight, we'll unwind at Paradise Lodge, nestled in this captivating region.

Day 4: Jinka
In the afternoon, embark on a scenic boat excursion across the Rift Valley Lake Chamo, where you'll witness impressive numbers of Nile crocodiles, along with hippos and a diverse array of bird species. Afterwards, continue your journey towards Jinka, making stops to visit the vibrant villages of the Konso people, known for their intricately hand-woven cotton garments. If your visit coincides with a Thursday, don't miss the opportunity to explore Key Afer, home to the Lower Omo Valley's most vibrant multicultural market. Here, you'll encounter the Ari, Benna, and Tsemai tribes showcasing their unique traditions. Tonight, relax and unwind at the Eco Omo Lodge, nestled in this culturally rich region.

Day 5: Turmi
Today's itinerary includes an excursion to Mago National Park, where we'll interact with the Mursi tribe, famous for the distinctive clay lip plates worn by their women. Afterward, we'll journey to Turmi, the vibrant village of the Hamer people, renowned for their beautifully crafted beaded leather skirts. If your visit coincides with Saturday or Tuesday, you'll have the opportunity to explore the bustling weekly market of the Hamer and Benna people at Dimeka. Our accommodation for the next three nights will be at Buska Lodge, providing a comfortable base in this culturally rich region.

Day 06: Korcho
This morning, we'll visit Korcho, the picturesque village of the Karo people. Depending on the day of your visit, you may also have the chance to explore the lively weekly markets in Turmi or Dimeka. The Karo people, residing in Korcho, Ethiopia, are known for their distinctive cultural practices and artistic traditions. They are recognized for their expertise in body painting, using natural pigments to create intricate designs that adorn their bodies during ceremonial occasions and rituals. The Karo are also skilled in crafting colorful beaded jewelry and elaborate headdresses, showcasing their artistic flair and cultural identity. Their village in Korcho offers visitors a glimpse into their unique way of life, steeped in tradition and a deep connection to their ancestral lands along the Omo River.

Day 7: Buska Lodge Omorate
An excursion to Omorate to visit the Dasenetch people who are the southern most people of the country and are known for their scarifications. The Dasenetch live just north of Lake Turkana, the region where Ethiopia borders Kenya and Sudan. The Dasenetch speak a completely different language and are the only Cushitic-speaking group of the Omo Valley. Drive back to Turmi to experience a typical Ethiopian coffee ceremony.

Day 8: Arbore Tribal Village
After breakfast, drive through the eastern Lower Omo valley and visit the Arbore tribal village before continuing to Arba Minch for an overnight stay at Paradise Lodge. Culturally, the Arbore are recognized for their distinctive body adornments, including intricate beadwork and jewelry worn by both men and women. They have a unique system of social organization and governance, with elders playing a significant role in decision-making within the community. Visiting the Arbore village provides an opportunity to witness their customs firsthand, interact with locals, and gain insights into their enduring traditions amidst the breathtaking landscapes of southern Ethiopia.

Day 9: Addis Ababa
Drive back to Addis Ababa passing the Rift Valley Lake of Ziway en route. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner at one of the best traditional restaurants of Addis Ababa to see the folkloric dances of the Ethiopian people. Overnight at Golden Tulip Hotel.

You will be taken to the airport for your morning onward international flight.
