Ol Malo is a privately-owned family ranch and game sanctuary in Kenya’s wild Northern Laikipia Province, the heartland of the Samburu tribe. Join the Francombe family at their beautiful home in the heart of the African bush for an intimate and highly personal experience of luxury ranch living. Ol Malo is situated in the deserts of Samburuland, Northern Kenya, a prime, and beautiful, conservation site. Being a family owned and operated ranch there is endless fun to be had from game drives and picnics to riding, walking, fishing, medicinal plant walks and learning how to survive like a Samburu…and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Each day is carefully designed for every client, whether they are seeking peaceful game watching or thrilling adventure.

Accommodation: Ol Malo Lodge; an exclusive four-bedroom boutique property. This small intimate lodge has just four rooms all individually decorated, blending traditional local style with luxurious hand-woven furnishings and thoughtful touches; a home away from home. Ol Malo House; a beautiful, six-bedroom house – perched on the edge of the Laikipia plateau overlooking Samburuland to the north and Mt Kenya to the east. This spacious property boasts sumptuous soft furnishings inspired by the colourful Samburu tribe and earth tones from the stunning surrounding landscape. All the rooms at Ol Malo are luxurious spaces, with en suite bathrooms and cascading showers; oversized hot tubs and private verandahs. Guests are hosted by the Francombe family and their Samburu neighbors.

Ol Malo Nomad; takes you one step further to explore the mountains, painted valleys, deserts and Kenya’s best kept secrets. Our adventures are varied and tailor made; from exploring by helicopter and fishing vast lakes, to trekking on foot, horse or camel with mobile camps into the unknown. Ol Malo Nomad also offers guests the opportunity to get more involved and support the Samburu eco-system through the Samburu Trust by walking with the Samburu people to secure their land, its wildlife and their shared future.
